The PF200 Ferrous Wear Meter is mainly used to detect metallic particles in oil samples extracted from cylinder friction oil..
Analysis method:
Place the 5 mL test tube containing the sample directly into the instrument’s sample well. The metal content, expressed in PPM, will be displayed on the screen in less than 2 seconds. It can be used in conjunction with a cold corrosion test kit to determine the total iron content in marine cylinder oils.
Application fields:
Wear monitoring of mechanical systems
Evaluation of lubricating oils for mechanical systems
Assessment of ferromagnetic wear debris in gearboxes
Residual evaluation of bearing lubricating oils
