On June 11, 2025, Jing Liwen, Minister of the Education and Training Department of the China Foundry Association (CFA), led a delegation to Kunshan Soohow Instrument Technology Co., Ltd. for a specialized inspection, aiming to gain in-depth insights into the company's research and development achievements and industrialization progress in the field of high-end spectral analysis instrumentation. Vice President Yi Zetian and Secretary-General Yu Zhen of the Suzhou Foundry Association accompanied the delegation during the visit.
During the inspection, Minister Jing and his team toured Soohow Instrument's R&D center and intelligent production line, with a particular focus on examining the company's core products such as the OIL8000H oil spectral analyzer and the FS500 direct-reading spectrometer. Xu Rongwang, the company's head, introduced that Soohow Instrument, as a national high-tech enterprise, has been deeply engaged in spectral analysis technology for over a decade. The company has achieved localization of key components in its products, which are now widely applied in fields such as metal material testing and aerospace oil monitoring.
Minister Jing commended Soohow Instrument's achievements in independent innovation within precision instrumentation and engaged in in-depth discussions with the corporate team on topics including industry technical talent cultivation and industry-academia-research collaboration mechanisms. He emphasized that the localization of high-end analytical instrumentation is pivotal to advancing high-quality development in the manufacturing sector, expressing expectations for Soohow Instrument to continue leveraging its technological strengths to deliver more precise testing solutions for the transformation and upgrading of the foundry industry.
This inspection marked a critical component of the CFA's ongoing "Technology Empowering Industrial Chains" series of research activities. Soohow Instrument stated that it would expedite the research and development iteration of next-generation spectrometers, striving to achieve greater breakthroughs for domestic instrumentation in high-end manufacturing sectors.
